Our Fleet
QOCS has numerous buses from both the Brisbane City Council, and from the private sector. Our aim is to restore buses to their former glory with the available funds made available through donations & membership fees.| QOCS Buses | |

| AEC Regal III ex Brisbane City Council # 80 This bus was later donated to the Brisbane Tramway Museum who subsequently donated to the Queensland Omnibus & Coach Society. This bus is registered, and used frequently on tours & displays. |

| Leyland Panther ex Brisbane City Council # 498 Whilst with the Brisbane City Council, this bus received a regenerative breaking system (aka, the bus was known as 'Reg'), and was installed by the University of Qld. This bus was later donated to the Brisbane Tramway Museum who subsequently donated to the Queensland Omnibus & Coach Society. |

| Leyland Panther ex Brisbane City Council # 721 Whilst with the Brisbane City Council, this bus received a make-over which gave these select buses the term 'Manther'. The refurbishment involved power assisted steering, modified front end, side destination display removed from above the front door to the first passenger window and forced air ventilation for the passengers. This bus was purchased by Doyles, and was late donated to the Queensland Omnibus & Coach Society. |

| Volvo B59 ex Brisbane City Council # 827 This bus was donated to the Queensland Omnibus & Coach Society for further preservation, and is available to be registered on the 'Special Interest Vehicle Scheme' in 2009. |

| Volvo B59 ex State Transport Authority (sta) Adelaide This bus was purchased by BusLink QLD who later donated the bus to the Queensland Omnibus & Coach Society. What makes these buses so special is that they are 2.5m wide (or overwidth), and a special permit is required to operate such buses in other states. |

| Leyland Leopard ex Brisbane City Council # 369 Originally with the Brisbane City Council, this bus was later sold to Pioneer Bus Service of which was the bus was never used, then later sold to Brisbane Bus Lines which remained in service until 1989. The bus was then donated to the Brisbane Transport Researchers then to Q Bus Rochedale Qld and then to the Queensland Omnibus & Coach Society in 2000. Since 2004, this bus has been owned by several members for further preservation, with each owner doing their bit to preserve the bus, and is now owned for the second time by QOCS member Brett Hawkins. |

Volvo B58 This Volvo B58 with Smithfield B41D bodywork was one of 70 originally built for the Aust. Capital Territory Internal Omnibus Network (ACTION) in 1976 and worked in Canberra (Fleet No. 382) until the 1990s. It was then purchased by Pioneer Bus Service of Ipswich and was their No. 21 bus until the business was sold to Southern Cross Transit at Karalee in 1996 and numbered as No. 45 in their fleet. It was sold to Coolum Coaches (but remained in the Pioneer Bus service livery) for use on school services on the Sunshine Coast. It was disposed to a wrecking yard in 2003 where it was purchased for continued preservation by QOCS member Martin Stepancich. |

| Volvo B59 ex Brisbane City Council # 797 Originally with the Brisbane City Council, this bus was later leased then purchased by South West Transit Management at Richlands, of which was later sold to QOCS member Peter Denaro for preservation. |
