QOCS acquires rare Brisbane City Council bus

The Queensland Omnibus and Coach Society is pleased to announce the acquisition of former Brisbane City Council 1985 MAN SL200 Bus 958 for preservation in January 2021.

It operated in service with the Council between August 1985 and March 2008. The vehicle then spent 3 years operating for Red and White Coaches at Sandgate, and is now a welcomed addition to our fleet of heritage buses.

The vehicle was acquired by QOCS from Damian Milne in Sydney who has done an excellent job restoring the vehicle to operational condition.

Many thanks to Barnes Auto Co for providing their services, and to member Michael Marsh for volunteering his time to go down to Sydney to bring it back. Photo: Leon Sharpe
