Brisbane Transport Museum Open Day
8 June 2025 at 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
The June open day at The Brisbane Transport Museum, located at 600 Mains Road, Nathan, will be on Sunday 8 June between 10am and 1pm, owing to an event at Nissan Arena on the previous day.
June marks the 77th birthday of our iconic AEC Regal III number 80, and we anticipate using this for some of our joyrides
The museum is home to the largest display of heritage buses and coaches in Queensland with a current fleet of vehicles spanning the years from 1917 to 1996. The majority of these buses operated for Brisbane City Council and form a significant part of Brisbane’s transport heritage.
The Museum possesses a large collection of rare photos and industry memorabilia that represent over a century of passenger transport history. The majority of these items have not previously been showcased to the public on a permanent basis.
The Museum also features a dedicated Brisbane City Council history display which covers the period from the first buses in 1925 right through to the current state-of-the-art Brisbane Metro vehicles.
Entry fees are $20 for adults, $15 concessions and $10 for children. A family ticket (two adults, two children) is available for $50. EFTPOS facilities available. We also participate in the Companion Card scheme.
Come and help us celebrate bus 80’s birthday.
